Letter from Counselors at Crayton Middle School
February 10, 2021
Individual Graduation Plans (IGP), as mandated by the South Carolina Department of Education and Personal Pathways to Success Legislation (EEDA), are specific educational plans that align career goals with a course of study during high school to help students successfully transition into the workforce or postsecondary education. Crayton/A.C. Flora counselors will be holding Virtual Course Selection/IGP conferences for all 8th grade students. Parents are a vital link in this process, and we would like to invite you to attend. In preparation, students were recently given career assessments through the South Carolina Occupational Interest Survey (SCOIS) model. This information will be used as a guide during our conferences. To assist us in developing your child’s individual plan, we also encourage you to discuss career goals with them prior to attending the conference.
Virtual Conferences with Crayton and AC Flora will take place Monday, March 1, 2021 – Friday, March 5, 2021. An email link along with the assigned times to join the conference will be sent out to parents through email and mail no later than February 19, 2021. Please be on the lookout for this information. If you have questions after receiving this information or you did not get an invite please contact Dr. Alston 8th grade counselor at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to speaking with you and your student soon.
