    February:   

    Biographies: 2nd-5th grade

    Students used resources such as PebbleGo, PebbleGo Next, and World Book Online to research famous people.  They used Microsoft PowerPoint to create their presentations.

    SC Picture Book Award

    First and Second Grade students have been reading the 2022-23 SC Picture Book Award Nominees.  They voted for their favorite book.  

    1st Place: Swish!  The Slam-Dunking, Ally-Ooping, High Flying Harlem Globetrotters  by Suzanne Buckingham Slade 

    2nd Place (tie)   Bedtime Bonnett by Nancy Redd

    Second Grade

    After reading Alma and How She Got Her Name, students created word clouds that shared information about themselves.

    All About Me Word Clouds

    Third grade

    Students learned how to copy and paste images in PowerPoint while creating Jack o' Lantern stories.

     

    Fourth Grade

    Mr. Kinney's Fourth grade class used Storyboard That to create comics about the weather.
