      Greetings Southeast Scorpions Family:

      Chaddrick MyersAs the  principal of Southeast Middle School, I am excited to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year! I am a proud product of Richland District One and a Columbia High Graduate. I am now entering my 24th year in Richland One, where I have served as a Teacher, TOSA, and Assistant Principal. I believe that all students, no matter their race, religion, or background, should have access to an equitable educational environment that promotes rigor, cultural responsiveness, and preparation for college and career readiness. My motto is “Every Child, Every Day” and I am ecstatic to be a part of the Scorpion family!

      The vision of SEMS states:

      Southeast Middle School in collaboration with an engaged community, is committed to ensuring that each student achieves his/her potential in a safe, caring, academically challenging and diverse learning environment that will develop productive citizens for a changing world.

      It is my honor to serve as principal at Southeast Middle School and I look forward to working with you and your child this school year as we Dream…Believe…and Inspire!         Discus is pleased to announce extended tutoring hours in Tutor.com. Beginning immediately, real time tutoring is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for English and Spanish speakers with no appointment needed!This service is available for all South Carolina residents of all ages.

        Tutor.com offers:

        • Math assistance and drop-off for elementary and middle grades math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra
          Spelling, grammar, literature, and vocabulary assistance
        • Reading and writing assistance for all grades
        • Computer literacy
        • ESL and ELL
        • U.S. History, European History, World History, and Civics assistance
        • French and Spanish tutors

        If your student would like to take advantage of this, or any other resource Discus offers, they can get log-in information from the school librarian.
