A Message from the Principal
Greetings Scorpion Families & Visitors,
Welcome to what promises to be an awesome new school year at Southeast Middle! We are incredibly excited about the 2021-2022 school year at Southeast Middle. Without a doubt, we had an interesting academic year for 20-21. However, we have learned a great deal from last spring about distance learning and will use that experience to make it a successful year. We are looking forward to a year of unlimited possibilities for the 2021-2022 academic year!
Our theme this year is “BELIEVE”. As a community, it is critical that we believe in our students and encourage them to believe in themselves as they work to their fullest potential. Believing in our students will give them the empowerment of knowing their self-worth as they grow into global citizens and outstanding contributors of our society. Throughout the year, we will engage our students with activities that will support our theme “BELIEVE”.
As we begin a new academic year, we pledge to our students and parents that this will be a wonderful year of engaging, meaningful, and rigorous work in our classrooms. Our top priority remains academic improvement in all areas and success for all students. Additionally, we will strive to maintain a positive school/home relationship with communication that will enhance our collective partnership. We certainly extend a warm welcome to you to participate in parental involvement opportunities, and events that we will offer at Southeast Middle. Thank you for being such amazing supporters to our school community! We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you.
Mrs. Inger M. Ferguson, Ed.S.
