A Message from the Principal
Welcome to Brennen Elementary School, known affectionately to all who know us simply as Brennen. We are so glad you are visiting our web site, and we hope it will help you get to know our school. Our school serves over 850 students in grades K-5.
With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, dedicated teachers, and a rich tapestry of cultures representative of our community, Brennen is a wonderful place to teach and learn.
One of the goals I work toward as a principal is to find the best and brightest teachers in the Columbia area. As a community, we work hard to provide a high quality educational experience for all Bulldogs. With continuous family support and outstanding volunteers, our students leave Brennen prepared for the next step in their academic career.
At Brennen, we strive to provide each student with an extensive range of educational opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. Our staff, in partnership with our families, ensures a happy balance of rigorous instruction, extracurricular activities, and social opportunities for our students.
We continue to celebrate our successes over the years. Brennen continues to be recognized as a Palmetto Gold School for our academic performance. We have received an “excellent” rating from the State Department of Education for the past 5 years.
The support we receive from parents and community members fosters ongoing success for our students and allows us to maintain an environment of academic excellence for all of our students.
There are many opportunities for parents to become involved-from volunteering in the classrooms and front office to helping with our wonderful Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Whatever you do, your active support and cooperation combined with our best professional efforts help our students be the best they can be-as students and community members.
See you around campus or in the car rider line.
