When
approved by the principal and the parents,
a student promoted to the seventh or eighth
grade who has given evidence of superior achievement
or who has a special need may earn high school
credit in the areas of keyboarding, mathematics,
or foreign language. STUDENTS MUST EARN
77 OR BETTER TO RECEIVE HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT.
NO
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT MAY EARN MORE THAN
THREE UNITS OF CREDIT. Carnegie units
of courses taken in middle school will
count toward the GPR except for courses
taken over in grade 9. AAP courses awarding
high school credit will be weighted.
Courses for high school credit must be
listed in the Master Course Catalog and
approved by the Board. Middle school
transcripts will show numerical grades
for courses carrying Carnegie units. |
