Medicines

We discourage the use and administration of medicine at school. Ask your doctor if your child’s prescription can be taken before and after school. If not, the doctor’s orders and signed permission from the parent must be on file at the school before any prescribed medicine will be given. The permission form must include the student’s name, name of the medicine, dosage, how it is to be administered and anticipated reactions of the student to the medicine. Whenever the medicine is changed, the parent is responsible for notifying the school.
