Eligibility requirements: The patient must be in active treatment to
use Road to Recovery to recover and have no other means at transportation.
Area Served: Richland and Lexington Counties
Description: Road to Recovery is a volunteer transportation program.
Volunteer drivers assist patients by driving them to their treatment
facilities and back home. The patient must be ambulatory to use Road
to Recovery. This program is specifically for those patients that are
not able to drive themselves, and have no means of transportation.

Neighbors Who Care provide volunteers to
repair vandalized houses, refers victims
to agencies that can offer financial assistance,
helps people move, provides transportation,
emergency food and clothing and offers
supportive listening.

Description: Statewide toll free hotline providing services to women
for their children and families and to service providers. These services
include: Prenatal Care, Family Planning and Birth Control, Immunizations,
Rides to doctors appointments, Medicaid, WIC Nutrition Program, assessment
and care for children with special health care needs, free coupon book
if you are pregnant or have a child under age 1, free video if you have
a child under age 3, and other health department services.
