First day of school
Welcome back! Richland One’s 24,000 students begin their first day of classes for the 2006-2007 school year on Tuesday, August 8. All elementary schools operate from 7:45 a.m. – 2:20 p.m. Middle school students will be in classes from 8:40 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. and high schools operate from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Superintendent visits schools
As he does throughout the year, Richland One Superintendent Dr. Allen Coles will be visiting schools on the first day of school (Tuesday, Aug. 8). The estimated arrival and departure times are listed below:

1. Hyatt Park Elementary Arrive at 8:30 a.m.
4200 Main Street Depart by 9:30 a.m.

2. Crayton Middle School Arrive at 10:00 a.m.
5000 Clemson Avenue Depart by 11:00 a.m.

3. Brockman Elementary Arrive at 11:15 a.m.
2245 Montclair Drive Depart by 11:45 a.m.

4. W.J. Keenan High Arrive at 12 p.m.
455 Pine Belt Road Depart by 12:45 p.m.

Board of School Commissioners
Richland One's Board of School Commissions will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Stevenson Administration Building, 1616 Richland Street.
