Richland One students and employees will be on Spring Break April 9 – 13. Monday, April 16 is also a student holiday and a day of professional development for Richland One teachers.
Diamond Club Golf Fundraiser
Are you ready for a little golf? The Lower Richland High School booster club is sponsoring a golf tournament fundraiser on Friday, April 13 at the Oak Hills Golf Club. Golfers will receive a tasty breakfast, gift bags, and a barbecue dinner. Contact Lower Richland head football coach J.W. Montgomery for more details about entry fees and prizes for winners. Academic All-Stars Banquet
Richland One’s top high-school seniors will be honored at the 2007 Academic All-Stars Recognition Banquet which will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Curtis Wilson, morning news anchor with WLTX-TV, will serve as master of ceremonies.
During the banquet, Richland One will salute 157 seniors from the district’s seven high schools and the Richland One Middle College for their academic achievements.
To qualify as Academic All-Stars, students must meet strict criteria including being ranked in the top 10 percent of their high school’s senior class and having at least a 3.5 grade-point average. The Partners In Education Foundation sponsors the annual Academic All-Stars Recognition Banquet. Partners In Education is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that works to support and enhance the quality of education in Richland One and advance the district’s mission.
