March 19: Sheriff Deputies to Collect for Special Olympics
It’s a different kind of line-up. When Brockman Elementary School parents drop their kids off in the carpool lane tomorrow morning, they’ll be greeted by a group of deputies, but not because there’s a problem. Starting at 7 a.m. Richland County’s finest along with Brockman staff and volunteers will be selling beautiful red Special Olympics bracelets for one dollar. Additional donations will be accepted. Brockman is located at 2245 Montclair Drive.
March 19-21: Dreher High School to present Rumors
Rumors, the Neil Simon comedy, will be performed by Dreher High School’s 3-D Players March 19-21 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. Rumors captures the frustrations and unpredictable elements of life with delicious humor. This comic concoction constantly delivers delightful twists on the basic “whodunit” sketch, keeping us involved and enthralled as we might see ourselves in these improbable situations. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students.
March 21: Keenan High School to host SC State Odyssey of the Mind Competition
On Saturday, March 21 Keenan High School will host the SC State Odyssey of the Mind Competition. From 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. teams of students must use quick-thinking, creativity and style to address various real world issues that will be presented to them by a panel of judges. In previous years, Richland One’s Lewis Greenview Elementary has consistently taken first place in the state competition and won the World Competition two years ago.
