Richland One Schools to Close Monday for Student Holiday
Monday, February 18 is a holiday for Richland One students and a day of professional development for district teachers and staff. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 19.
Eau Claire Cluster of Schools Invites Ministers and Church Leaders to Partnership Dinner
Alcorn Middle School, Gibbes Middle School and Eau Claire High School invite all ministers and church leaders in their communities to be their guests at the inaugural Faith-Based Partnership Dinner on Monday, February 18 at 6 p.m. in the Eau Claire Print Building, 3901 Ensor Avenue (just off of North Main Street). Organizers are trying to create a stronger bond with the faith community, whom they see as playing a vital role in students’ education and well-being. The dinner will be provided at no cost to attendees. Ministers who would like more information should contact James Bryant at Alcorn at 735-3439.
Outstanding Technology Students to be Honored
Star technology students from each Richland One school will be recognized in a special program on Wednesday, February 20 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of the Olympia Learning Center, 621 Bluff Road. The event is being held in conjunction with the district’s Technology Fair, February 18-22.
Eau Claire Community Invited to "Spiritual Odyssey 2008"
The Eau Claire cluster of schools invites everyone to attend its African-American history program "Spiritual Odyssey 2008," featuring Dr. Linda Kershaw and the Benedict Concert Choir. They will perform on Wednesday, February 20, at 6:30 p.m. at Gibbes Middle School, 500 Summerlea Drive.
