Santa’s coming a little early for students in the after-school program at Webber Elementary. The Magic Johnson Community Empowerment Center will distribute toys to all of the youngsters in the program on December 15 from 3:00- 5:00 p.m.

The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. on December 15 as Keenan High School presents "The Outsiders." Tickets for the play are $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults.

On Friday, December 16, students and teachers at Webber Elementary will spend the day reading while they relax in their pajamas and fuzzy slippers. The "Drop, Stop, and Read" program celebrates the joy of reading. Principal Dorothy Ham will read "The Polar Express" to the children as they sip on hot chocolate and munch on candy canes. Free books will also be given to the students to encourage them to become better readers. The event runs from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
