Olympia Learning Center Graduation Ceremony
Olympia Learning Center’s class of 2006 will graduate Wednesday, May 17 at
6 p.m. in the school auditorium. Five seniors will receive their high school diplomas in commencement ceremonies. The school is located at 621 Bluff Road.

Adult and Community Education Graduation Ceremony
On Thursday, May 18th Richland One’s Adult and Community Education Program will bestow high school diplomas and GED certificates upon 154 students. Graduation exercises will be held at 7 p.m. in the Dreher High School auditorium. WACH FOX-TV’s news anchor Mike Woolfolk will deliver the commencement address during the ceremony.

Hyatt Park Elementary Kindergarten Promotion
Four- and five-year olds at Hyatt Park Elementary will perform songs and recite poetry at their kindergarten promotion ceremony on May 18 at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Parents are encouraged to attend. Hyatt Park Elementary is located at 4200 Main Street.

Mother-Daughter Luncheon
Mothers, grandmothers, aunts and other significant females in the lives of teen girls are invited to attend a mother-daughter luncheon on Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Magic Johnson Empowerment Center. The event is sponsored by the Youth Voices of Lower Richland. It focuses on nurturing the relationships between teen girls and their mothers. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to attendees, but you must register by contacting Karen Dukes at 695-5700, extension 2196.
