Board of School Commissioners Meeting
The Richland One Board of School Commissioners will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at Dreher High School, 701 Adger Road. Board meeting agendas are posted online at www.richlandone.org; click on the School Board link.

Celebration 2006
Richland One will honor its retirees and top employees at Celebration 2006, on Wednesday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Seawell’s, 1125 Rosewood Drive. The annual event recognizes Classified Employees of the Year, Teachers of the Year and Substitute Teachers of the Year from each Richland One school. The district-wide winner in each category will be announced at the banquet.

Keenan High School Blood Drive
Keenan High School is inviting students and the community to donate blood at its annual blood drive on Friday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The American Red Cross mobile van will be parked in front of the school media center. Donors can also sign up for a bone marrow registry.

Meadowfield Elementary Kindergarten Gala
Instead of a traditional graduation ceremony, 80 kindergarten students at Meadowfield Elementary will enjoy a garden party with their parents on Friday, May 12 from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. in the school courtyard. Flowers the kindergarteners planted earlier this year will serve as the backdrop as they sing songs and display their artwork and class books. In addition to showing parents what they’ve learned throughout the year, the five-year-olds will serve punch and cookies to their very proud moms and dads.
