On Monday January 30, second-graders from Carver-Lyon Elementary begin their first day of swim safety classes at the Drew Wellness Center. The pilot project begins around 9:00 a.m. and may eventually be available to all second-graders in the District.

Parents of AC Flora High School students are invited to a Yak N’Sak session on Tuesday, January 31, from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. in the school media center. This is a time set aside for parents to talk to Principal Kathie Greer and other school administrators on a more personal level. Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the administration regarding policies, procedures and other concerns. Parents interested in attending are asked to call the school at 738-7300, ext. 7305. Refreshments will be served.

Heyward Career and Technology Center invites parents and the community to attend its open house on February 2, from 6 - 8:00 p.m. Items created by students will be on display.
