A program called Breakfast in the Classroom
is helping Richland students get off to
a healthier start in the morning! Students
at 14 schools now eat a nutritious breakfast
in their classroom with their teacher and
classmates rather than going to the cafeteria
or starting the day on an empty stomach.
Principals and school nurses say the new
program is having a positive impact on
class instructional time, has decreased
visits to the nurse’s office and
improved students’ attitudes. If
you’d like to learn more or set up
a school interview time, contact the district’s
communications office.
There will be a construction information
