142 Richland One Students Selected as SC Junior Scholars

The South Carolina Department of Education has named 142 Richland One eighth-graders to its list of 2007 South Carolina Junior Scholars. These academically talented students were chosen because they scored 50 or higher on the PSAT in the verbal, math or writing sections. Students who participated in Duke University’s Talent Identification Program during their 7th-grade year were also eligible for this honor.

Students named as Junior Scholars will receive an Award of Merit certificate from the State Department of Education and may be invited to attend summer programs at South Carolina colleges and universities.
