Richland One to Host Free Workshop for Child-Care Providers

Time is running out to register for a free child-care workshop which will be held on Saturday, May 19. Richland One’s Parent and Family Services Office invites child-care providers to attend classes on understanding children and their stages of development and behavior. The workshop will deal with two topics: All About Ages and Stages and Dealing with Difficult Behaviors in a Positive Way. Classes will be held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Heyward Career and Technology Center, 3560 Lynhaven Drive.

The registration deadline is Monday, May 14 and NO late registrations will be accepted. To register contact the Richland One Parent and Family Services Office at 231-6705. Registration forms are also available on the district’s website at www.richlandone.org . They can be faxed to the Family Services Office at 231-6707.

Child-care workers attending the workshop will receive four hours of credit. The workshop will be facilitated by Beatrice Geiger, an early childhood consultant.
