LR LADY DIAMONDS HONORED AT STATE HOUSE

Rep. Joe Neal and Rep. Jimmy Bales, both members of the Richland County Legislative Delegation, presented a special House resolution May 2 to the state championship-winning girls basketball team from Lower Richland High.

The resolution commends the Lower Richland Lady Diamonds "on its impressive win of the 2007 Class AAAA State Girls Basketball Championship title" and honors Coach Deborah Stroman and assistant coaches Lisa Diaz, Romania Myers and Sheila Mayzck for an outstanding season.

The Lady Diamonds defeated Dorman High on March 2 at the Colonial Center to win the state championship for the second consecutive year.
