COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE HONORED FOR PR EXCELLENCE

The Richland One Office of Communications has received nine awards and honorable mentions from the S.C. Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association.

SCNSPRA’s Rewards for Excellence Program recognizes outstanding communications and public relations efforts by South Carolina schools, school districts, education agencies and associations.
 
The Rewards for Excellence Program features three awards categories:  Medallion (comprehensive program); Golden Achievement (projects); and Publications and Electronic Media.

Richland One’s Office of Communications received the following honors and awards this year:

	Award of Excellence for Richland One Rolling Billboards - Tommy Flowers, project design specialist
	Publications and Electronic Media Award for the This Week district employee newsletter - Charlton Cain, senior communications editor
	Publications and Electronic Media Award for the Back-to-School Dateline One publication - Charlton Cain, senior communications editor
	Publications and Electronic Media Awards for the "Richland One This Week"- weekly news show and "On The Sidelines" sports show - Marv Ward, producer/director
	Honorable mentions for the "Schools for the 21st Century" construction projects update videos and "Discover the Urban Advantage" district promotional video - Chrystal Burgess, media production specialist
	Honorable mention for the 2005-06 Richland One Annual Report - Tommy Flowers, project design specialist
	Honorable mention for the Richland One Web site (www.richlandone.org) - Mitch Wyatt, Web administrator

Award winners will be honored during the SCNSPRA Rewards for Excellence Luncheon on Friday, April 27 at the Radisson Hotel.
