NFL Players to Visit W.A. Perry Middle School

Professional football players Derrick Burgess, Correll Buckhalter and Tim Strickland…on the gridiron these athletes are imposing, but while in the classroom, they hope to inspire and excite students to build positive futures. This trio will visit W.A. Perry Middle School on Thursday, April 19 to share their stories of football glory and personal triumph. Their motivational lecture to male students begins at 11 a.m.

Burgess, a Lake City, South Carolina native, plays for the Oakland Raiders. Buckhalter’s team is the Philadelphia Eagles and Strickland plays for Canadian Football League in Montreal.
