Richland One Students Win Top Awards
Richland One students continue to excel in many areas from academics to drama to community service. Please join our district in congratulating the following students and schools for outstanding achievements.
Millennium Magazine Youth Awards
The Millennium Magazine Youth Awards recognize the best and brightest 11- to 14- year-olds from Richland and Lexington County public middle schools. Richland One students took top honors in two of the three award categories.
DeShawn Jones of W.A. Perry Middle School won the Leadership Award and Hand Middle School student Haley Guyton received the Talent Award.
Millennium Magazine honored the winners during its 5th Annual "Celebrating Your Gifts" Youth Awards ceremony on Thursday, March 22 at the BellSouth auditorium.


SC International Thespian State Theatre Winners
Student performers from Dreher High School will compete nationally this summer after winning top state awards in the Palmetto Dramatics/South Carolina International Thespian State Theatre Competition, which was held at Converse College in late-February. Dreher students competed against fellow actors, writers, singers and make-up artists from more than 30 schools across South Carolina.
The following students excelled in their categories and will advance to national competitions this summer:

College of Charleston Math Meet Champions
The numbers add up for Dreher High School‘s math team which recently brought home nine trophies from the 30th Annual College of Charleston Math Meet. Dreher students won two first-place, six second-place, and one third-place trophies. The names of the winners are listed below:
