Richland One To Honor Hundreds of Volunteers

Richland One said "thank you" to hundreds of volunteers at its 27th Annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast on Tuesday, April 25. WIS-TV news anchor Judi Gatson served as mistress of ceremonies.

In addition to receiving a delicious breakfast, volunteers were honored in eight award categories:
* Volunteer of the Year
* Volunteer Group of the Year
* The Sam Hopkins Volunteer Administrator of the Year Award
* The Stevenson Award of Excellence
* Partner of the Year Award
* Elementary, Middle and High School volunteers with the Most Hours

"Overall, Richland One has more than 2,500 volunteers that serve our district as mentors, tutors, Lunch Buddies and parent volunteers," said Katy Watkins, Richland One’s volunteer coordinator "It’s our way of expressing our appreciation for their tireless efforts. The impact of their service will be felt in the lives of our students for many years to come."
