Taylor Elementary Students Win First Silver Spoon Award

On April 7, 16 well-mannered students at E.E. Taylor Elementary will get the royal treatment. They will be served lunch on fine linens and china in the school cafeteria. This special service is part of their reward as winners of the first Silver Spoon award, which recognizes students who exhibit good behavior and cleanliness while in the cafeteria. The children, who will be dressed in their Sunday best, will be served their lunch at 11:15 a.m. while seated on the cafeteria’s stage. E.E. Taylor is located at 200 McRae Street.

An oversized "silver spoon" will be placed in the cafeteria to commemorate the award. Richland One’s Student Nutrition Services Office is sponsoring the Silver Spoon program.
