Richland One Seeks Strategic Plan Volunteers

Richland One is in the process of developing its Strategic Plan for 2006-2010 and is seeking volunteers to serve on action teams.

The Strategic Plan is a blueprint for Richland One’s activities to ensure the academic success of all students during the coming five years. A group of parents, staff, community leaders and citizens have produced the mission, beliefs, parameters and strategic objectives and strategies.

Action teams are needed to draw up implementation steps for the six strategies, which are:

1. We will ensure meaningful academic engagement through high quality
   instructional delivery , leadership and support.
2. We will provide learning environments where respect for all persons is expected and appropriate behavior is modeled and maintained.
3. We will recruit, support and retain highly qualified dedicated staff.
4. We will foster unity of purpose by improving communication and building
   stronger relationships within the district and with families and the community
   at large.
5. We will develop and upgrade management information systems to make
   informed decisions.
6. We will strategically abandon ineffective and inefficient programs, processes
   and practices.
