Richland One’s annual secondary visual arts show opens April 12 at Richland Fashion Mall

Richland One’s annual middle and high school visual arts show and exhibition is April 12-26 at Richland Fashion Mall during regular mall hours.

The exhibit features art work from all district middle and high schools. The awards ceremony is April 26 at 6 p.m. in Center Court at the mall. One piece from each school will be selected for the district’s permanent art collection, and Best in Show and ribbons will be awarded. In addition, the Regan McAndrew Scholarship Award will be presented to one student who has been selected to attend the S.C. Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities this summer.

Pieces selected for the permanent art collection are professionally framed, exhibited in district administrative offices for one year and returned to the home school’s art gallery.

The public is invited to attend the awards ceremony.
