Richland One Teacher Named Outstanding Technology Teacher

Sid Sasien, a teacher at Dreher High School, has been named as South Carolina’s Outstanding High School Technology Teacher by the International Technology Education Association (ITEA).

This award is for exceptional accomplishments in teaching technology education at the public school level. The award criteria are such that only the best teachers can even apply.

According to Anna Sumner, ITEA’s president, "The award winners have been selected for their dedication to education, teaching excellence, and their forward thinking ideas about technology’s role in their students’ everyday lives."

He will receive the award at the association’s annual conference in Kansas City in April.
