Lower Richland Accepted As
International Baccalaureate Programme School
Lower Richland High School has been accepted
as an International Baccalaureate Programme
school, joining A.C.Flora as an IB school in
Richland One. At the high-school level,
the IB program is a demanding, pre-university
course of study that leads to examinations.
It is design for highly motivated, secondary
students aged 16-19. It has
earned a reputation for rigorous assessment;
its grading system is criterion referenced,
meaning that each student’s performance
is measured against items all students should
know.
A lengthy and rigorous application
process is necessary to be granted the
IB designation.
