One students, Elizabeth Adkins from Hand
Middle School and Luis Suarez from Dreher High
School have been recognized in the Letters
About Literature Contest.
Letters About LIterature is a national writing
contest of the Library of Congress Center for
the Book with the support of the Target Corporation.
Students write letters to an author about how
a book by that author affected their life.
Judges from each state select the winners in
grade level categories. The South Carolina
Contest is sponsored by the South Carolina
Center for the book.
There are nine statewide winners.
