C.A. Johnson Preparatory Academy Air Force JROTC Drill Team Wins at Ridgeland HS Regional Meet

The Air Force JROTC Drill Team competed on 16 Oct during the 9th Annual Ridgeland HS Drill Meet. Ridgeland HS is located in Rossville, GA just outside of Chattanooga, TN. Both JROTC instructors, SSgt Kelley (active duty Air Force volunteer) and 22 cadets made the trip, which involved an over night stay in Chattanooga, TN. The drill meet was a cross service competition of 19 units within the region. The CAJ team won three trophies, 2nd Place in Unarmed Exhibition, 2nd Place Unarmed Inspection and 3rd place LightWeight Armed Platoon. This is a significant event because it has been nearly a decade since the last out of district win for the team.
