Major General (Retired) Charles F. Bolden, Jr. and a team from NASA will visit Forest Heights Elementary this week
Are you curious about the Mars Space Rover? Ever wondered how shuttle astronauts got ready for their missions? Want to learn more about the International Space Station? A NASA research team is ready to take on your questions during its two-day visit to Forest Heights Elementary. The community is invited to meet and interact with the team from the Langley Research Center on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. Forest Heights is located at 2500 Blue Ridge Terrace. Last year the school was awarded the honor of being named a NASA Explorer School.

Major General (Retired) Charles F. Bolden, Jr., a former astronaut, will join the NASA research team at a special school assembly at 10:00 a.m. Bolden is a graduate of C.A. Johnson High School and a 2004 Richland One Hall of Fame inductee. After his speech, Bolden will take students’ questions and make a special presentation to the school.
