Colonial Life Wins State Volunteer Award To Work With Richland One Schools

Richland One congratulates Colonial Life Supplemental Insurance Company for winning the Silver Award from the State Board of Education for providing outstanding volunteer services to students at St. Andrews Middle School. The company was presented with the award at today’s Board of Education meeting.

The State Volunteer Awards honor the significant contributions made by organizations and individuals to schools across the state. Colonial Life won in the civic organization category.

Since 2003 Colonial employees have helped to improve the academic skills of students at St. Andrews by providing math tutoring, reading to classes, providing reading incentives, being lunch buddies to students, purchasing books on teachers’ wish lists and hosting workshops for parents. The company has also donated laptop computers and other equipment to the school.
