Caughman Road Wins National
Award For Its Newspaper
Caughman Road Elementary’s student
newspaper, "Comet Times," has received
national recognition from the American Scholastic
Press Association.
The newspaper received a first-place award
for an elementary newspaper. This is the first
year that the school's newspaper has been written
by the students. Bonnie Lutz's fourth and fifth-
grade AAP Language Arts classes worked as reporters,
editors, writers, and photographers. Kaityln
White and Alexis Williams served as the fifth-grade
senior editors, while Lutz served as the advisor.
