Caughman Road Wins National Award For Its Newspaper

Caughman Road Elementary’s student newspaper, "Comet Times," has received national recognition from the American Scholastic Press Association.

The newspaper received a first-place award for an elementary newspaper. This is the first year that the school's newspaper has been written by the students. Bonnie Lutz's fourth and fifth- grade AAP Language Arts classes worked as reporters, editors, writers, and photographers. Kaityln White and Alexis Williams served as the fifth-grade senior editors, while Lutz served as the advisor.
