Housing Authority To Honor
Smith on Wall of Fame

One's Dr. Carlos Smith, assistant to the
superintendent/ombudsman and athletics director,
is one of three former public housing residents
who will be inducted this week into the Columbia
Housing Authority's Wall of Fame.
Smith will be honored for his outstanding accomplishments along with acclaimed
artist Marion Griffin and Curtis Maffett of the Columbia Fire Department. The
18th annual Wall of Fame ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14
in the garden of the Oak Read High Rise at 2211 Read St. USC President Dr. Andrew
Sorensen will be the guest speaker.
The Columbia Housing Authority created the Wall of Fame as a way to provide positive
role models for children living in public housing by showcasing successful former
CHA residents
