A.C. Flora High School Sponsors 5-K Walk/Run = Sign Up NOW!

Seasoned athletes, weekend runners and couch potatoes are invited to show off their athletic prowess on Saturday, April 22 at the 5-K walk and run sponsored by the Healthy Falcons, the student health club at A.C. Flora High School and the A.C. Flora JROTC. Walkers and runners will wind through a route that takes them through the school grounds and into the scenic Forest Acres community.

The registration fee, which is $10 for students and $20 for non-students, increases by $5.00 on April 22. Registration fees can be paid by check until April 1st. Registration forms are available in the school office. Pre-registration is encouraged, but you can register the day of the event. For more information, contact Dr. Jim Heaney at 738-7331.

Money raised from the event will be used to host health fairs and other activities promoting healthy lifestyles in the Flora community. The event is jointly sponsored by Palmetto Health Richland, Michael’s Cleaners, the Flora PTSO and Richland One Student Nutrition Services.
