W.G. Sanders’ Odyssey of the Mind team qualifies for World Finals

A team from W.G. Sanders Middle School won the South Carolina Odyssey of the Mind State Championship for Division II Classics - Put A Spin On It.

The "Seven Egyptian Queens" team members are Breana Wilson, Maria McClain, Crystal Hampton, Rashida Addison, Tilah Jordan and Meagan Wright. 

The team also won the Renatra Fusca Creativity Award that is presented to teams who exhibit exceptional creativity. Suzette Young, a teacher at Sanders, and Joyce Law, who teaches at Lewis Greenview Elementary, coached the team.

The team will compete in the World Finals in Ames, Iowa in May.
