Ford Elementary’s School Improvement Council (SIC) has
been named as one of five finalists for the Dick and Tunky
Riley School Improvement Award.
Former
Governor and U.S. Secretary of Education Richard Riley and
his wife, Tunky, will be in attendance to present the
first ”Dick and Tunky Riley School Improvement Award”
to an outstanding School Improvement Council at the 17th
Annual SIC Conference, “Your Voice Matters,” March 22
at the Columbia Sheraton.
The
award was named for them in honor of the many
contributions both of them have made to education
improvement in the state.
Finalists
for the award will receive honorable mention status.
