Sanders Middle School gym to be named in honor of coach 

W.G. Sanders Middle School is holding a dedication ceremony honoring Collie E. Rayford Sunday at 3 p.m. at the school, 136 Alida St.

The school's gymnasium will be named in honor of Rayford, affectionately known as "The Big Tiger," who has served as a physical education teacher and girls basketball coach at the school for 39 years.

Program participants include former students and colleagues as well as local officials.
