Richland One tops in social studies

Richland One took three top honors at the S.C. Social Studies Conference held recently.

Priscilla McPheeters, fourth-grade social studies teacher at Caughman Road, was named as the S.C. Elementary Social Studies Teacher of the Year and will compete nationally.

Mary Ann Odom, eighth-grade social studies teacher at Crayton Middle School, was named as the S.C. Middle School Social Studies Teacher of the Year.

In addition, Richland One's Social Studies Curriculum Guide, Grades 1-8, won the best social studies curriculum guide in the state.
