Richland One is
hosting a Teacher Recruitment Symposium March 18 from 3:30
p.m.-7 p.m. at Brennen Elementary School, 4438 Devereaux
Rd.
The symposium is designed to provide practical,
hands-on sessions that will give new teachers tools to use
in the classroom. Participants will attend three,
40-minute sessions of their choice.
Sessions offered include: classroom management;
organizing classrooms, effective parent communication;
technology; MIMS Hub; National Boards for Professional
Teaching Standards; hands-on math; SCRI: Governor’s
reading Initiative; and alternate assessments.
Each participant will receive an application packet
and a certificate of participation, which can be used for
portfolios or PD10 of the ADEPT process.
Free supper will be provided to those who complete
and
return registration by March 5.
