Kindergarten and child development registration underway in Richland One

Richland School District One is accepting registration for the child development program, which serves four-year-olds, and the kindergarten program for the 2003-04 school year.

Children entering the child development program must be four years old on or before September 1, those entering kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 1, and children must be six years old on or before September 1 to enter first grade.

To register a child for the child development program or for kindergarten, parents must present the child’s birth certificate, certificate of immunization and two utility bills as proof of residency.

Children may be registered at the elementary school serving the attendance zone in which they reside. If you do not know what school a child should attend, contact the registrar’s office at 733-6151.

Testing for the child development program is May 19, 20 and 21.
