Eau Claire student named Youth of the Year

Tatayana B. Fulwiley, a junior at Eau Claire High School, has been named the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Midlands’ 2003 Youth of the Year.

She has been a member of the Boys and Girls Club for eight years. The oldest of five children, she helps her younger siblings at home while working part time at Burger King.

She maintains a 3.64 grade point average and is ranked 19th out of 233 students in her graduating class. She is also a member of the Junior Class Prom, the Pageant Committee and Civinette Clubs at Eau Claire High School.

In addition, Tatayana tutors at a middle school, serves as a member of the City of Columbia Teen Council and president of the Lorick Park Teen Club.
