Columbia High girls capture state AA basketball championship

Columbia High girls basketball team won the South Carolina Class AA basketball title with a 63-41 victory over Andrews. This marks the third consecutive year the team advanced to the finals. The two previous years the Lady Capitals were runners-up for
the title.

Team members include Ebonie Baker, Jacelyn Brunson, Falon Cummings, Alicia Floyd, Pegdrina Garret, Vanessa Goff, Brittany Hollins, Shardae Hook, Danyell Myers, Chlon Rogers, Kebas Washington, Catrina Wells, Tiffany Williams and Ashley McCoy.
The coaching staff includes head coach Bobby Young and assistant coaches Latise Irvin, James Kelly and A.J. Smith.
