Richland
One announces first Hall of Fame inductees
The names of the eight persons chosen to be
the first inductees into the Richland One Hall
of Fame were announced at a news conference
on Feb. 6.
They are: Retired Maj. Gen. Charles F. Bolden
Jr.; Henry J. Cauthen; Kimberly Aiken Cockerham;
The Rev. Joseph A. Darby; Harris E. DeLoach
Jr.; C.A. Johnson (deceased); Dr. Kary
B. Mullis; and Dr. John R. Stevenson.
The Richland One Hall of Fame will be housed
in the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center,
which is expected to open in September. The
induction ceremony is tentatively scheduled
for November.
News conference participants included Richland
One board chairman Vince Ford; Richland One
Superintendent Dr. Ronald Epps; Hall of Fame
Selection Committee Chairman Bob Bockman; and
Steve Camp and Mack Stone of the Columbia Metropolitan
Convention Center.
