Richland One Accepting Hall
of Fame Nominations
Richland School District One is accepting
nominations for the 2006 Hall of Fame induction
class. The Richland One Hall of Fame was created
to pay tribute to distinguished alumni and
other persons who have made significant contributions
to the district, their communities, their professions
and society as a whole.
Current members of the Richland One Hall of
Fame include: Chief Justice Jean Toal of the
S.C. Supreme Court, a Dreher High graduate;
former astronaut Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Charles F.
Bolden Jr., a graduate of C.A. Johnson High
School; former Richland One Superintendent
Dr. John R. Stevenson; Miss America 1994 Kimberly
Aiken Cockerham, a Columbia High graduate;
attorney and businessman I.S. Leevy Johnson,
a C.A. Johnson graduate; and the late Lt. Col.
George D. "Marty" Martin III, a
graduate of Lower Richland High.
Hall of Fame nominees may be alumni of Richland
One schools or non-district alumni. Current
district employees and school board members
are not eligible for induction. Eligibility

Nominations must be submitted to the Richland
One Office of Communications by 5 p.m. Monday,
May 1, 2006. For more information about the
