BOARD APPROVES NEW CALENDAR FOR 2004-05 SCHOOL YEAR

At its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, Feb. 10, the Richland One Board of School Commissioners rescinded the previously approved 2004-2005 school calendar in favor of an alternate calendar.

Key dates in the 2004-2005 calendar adopted Tuesday include:

Teachers return Aug. 4

Students’ first day Aug. 11

Labor Day holiday Sept. 6

Election Day holiday Nov. 2

Thanksgiving holidays Nov. 24-26

Winter holidays Dec. 23-31

Student holiday Jan. 3

Martin L. King, Jr. holiday Jan. 17

Spring Break March 25-April 1

Students’ last day May 20

Teachers’ last day May 24

Make-up days, in the order listed, if needed: March 11, March 25 and March 10.
