Richland One seniors named
to the Golden Palmetto All-State Leadership
Team
Four Richland One students are among 77
students statewide named to the Golden
Palmetto Leadership Team, sponsored by
The State newspaper and Sonoco. The team
honors students for their extraordinary
commitment to community service.
Richland One honorees are: Barrett Elizabeth
Fisher, a senior at Dreher High School,
whose volunteer activities include Harvest
Hope Food Bank, the Crop Walk, Washington
Street UMC soup cellar and Habitat for
Humanity; Rashan Jerome Noble, a senior
at W.J. Keenan High School, who serves
as a volunteer with Nurturing Center, St.
Martin De Porres Catholic Church soup kitchen,
Get Out the Vote initiative and the Bantu
Resettlement Project; Miranda Michelle
Montgomery, a senior at Columbia High School,
who volunteers with Shamrocks for Muscular
Dystrophy, Key Club, Salvation Army, and
Harvest hope food Bank; and Sarah Harvey,
a senior at Dreher High, whose volunteer
activities include Special Olympics, Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation and Young
Democrats for South Carolina.
Students were judged on an essay describing
their volunteer efforts. The State’s
judging committee also considered students’ academic
transcripts, extracurricular and other
leadership activities and letters of recommendation.
