Richland One Academic All-Stars honored at
gala
One hundred thirty-two seniors were honored as Academic All-Stars at a gala banquet
hosted by Richland One’s educational foundation, Partners In Education,
on April 20 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.
Pepsi was the lead sponsor for 2004.
To qualify as Richland One All-Stars, students
must be ranked in the top 10 percent of their
high school’s senior class or they must
meet the established criteria for High School
Scholars. All honorees must be candidates for
graduation the spring of the respective year.
Students who are ranked in the top 10 percent
of their senior class but do not have at least
a 3.5 GPA are ineligible. Students also must
have no grade lower than C in any subject completed
for high-school credit.
Selection is made based upon a student’s
academic standing at the end of the first semester
of the senior year.
Academic All-Stars received a framed certificate,
a Richland One Academic All-Star medallion
and a Richland One Academic All-Star jacket.
High School Scholars received the traditional
stoles to be worn over their graduation robes
and will receive all other recognition awarded
to High School Scholars through the established
program.
