Keenan High School Hosts Taco Bell Capital City Basketball Classic

Tired of all that shopping? Need some basketball therapy? Santa’s coming a little early to basketball fans this week. Keenan High School invites everyone to take a break from the holiday rush and enjoy the fast-paced court action of the Taco Bell Capital City Classic on December 19-22. Sixteen high school basketball teams will compete in elimination rounds starting Wednesday, December 19 at the new Keenan High School, 361 Pisgah Church Road. Admission is $6 per day or $15 for the four-day tournament.

Schools participating in the classic include girls’ teams from Keenan, Fairfield Central, Dreher, Crestwood, Washington County, Lake City, Hartsville and Effingham County high schools. The boys’ bracket will be played by teams from Keenan, Lakewood, Aquinas, North, Clinton, Denmark-Olar, Sumter and Allendale-Fairfax high schools.

There will be three elimination rounds. The championship games will be played on December 22. The girls will hit the court at 7 p.m. and the boys’ game will begin at 8:30 p.m.
