Eau Claire High School Theatre to Début with a Performance of Disney’s High School Musical
A full-musical ensemble including a marching band, drum line, dancers and a cast of 40, will perform Disney’s High School Musical at the long-awaited and much anticipated opening of the new Eau Claire High School theatre May 15-17.
Eau Claire High theatre director Indira Cureton-Cummings says the high-energy, multi-media production will deliver non-stop dancing, singing and action as students perform Disney’s smash hit musical. "This has been an amazing experience for the students and faculty at Eau Claire High School," said Cureton-Cummings. "The energy and excitement surrounding this production, along with the new direction of the school, has begun to revitalize our school and community."
Disney’s High School Musical is based on the wildly popular Emmy Award-winning movie with a plot described as a modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. It tells the story of two high school juniors from rival cliques who must resist peer pressure and rivalry to pursue their dreams.
